The NanoWisdoms Archive of Imamat Speeches, Interviews and Writings wishes Prince Rahim and Kendra Spears a long and happy life together.

In celebration of this happy occasion, the NanoWisdoms Archive is pleased to bring you His Highness the Aga Khan’s lengthy, but little known, 1983 Khaleej Times interview, made during his first visit to the region at the time of his Silver Jubilee celebrations.

In the interview, the Aga Khan talks at length about the institutions and programmes of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and its overall strategy for development — noting that solutions to sensitive issues must be “socially [and] theologically acceptable.” In addition he touches on potential future AKDN engagement in the Gulf and also the Ismaili community, in particular their then recent migration to Western countries.
